Vaishali Patil ist Aktivistin der Graswurzelbewegung und arbeitet seit mehr als 23 Jahren in der Konkan-Region des indischen Bundesstaats Maharashtra an vielen unterschiedlichen Themen, von Landrechten für Frauen über den Stopp von Kohle- und Bergbauprojekten hin zu Initiativen gegen das größte, geplante Atomkraftwerk in ihrer Region. Sie hat am UN Frauen-Gipfel teilgenommen und ist Gründerin des Ankur Trust.

Vaishali Patil is a grassroots activist. Based in the Konkan-Region of the Indian state of Maharashtra, she has been working for more than 23 years on different issues such as land rights for women, phasing-out coal and other mining projects, organizing protests an initiative against the plan to build a nuclear power station in the region. She was People's Global Climate Ambassador in the NYK historical People's March for Climate Change and took part in the UN women's summit. She founded Ankur Trust.
